Our work in the Legislature

The majority of my work during my last term focused on work we accomplished in the Joint Committee on Energy, Utilties and Technology. We passed major legislation that advanced Maine's Offshore Wind program; an onshore wind project and transmission line in Aroostook County; a number of improvements in solar electricity project development; modernization of the electricity grid; and many other pieces of legislation that both support Maine's climate goals as well as increase the amount of clean and affordable electricity for all.

But there was a lot more to this session than energy. We passed legislation that secured protections for reproductive rights; laws that will increase gun safety in the state; made investments in affordable housing, public edcuation and child car; and initiated a Paid Family Leave program.
